Jason Holder- Bass, GuitarJason Holder, a former Berklee College of Music student is a lifelong resident of Evansville and self proclaimed guitar geek. Jason began studying music at the age of 8 and over the years has had lessons in piano, upright and electric bass, guitar, trombone, clarinet, voice and handbell. Jason has performed with many bands and orchestras with these instruments through the years. He teaches both guitar and bass at The Musician's Den. Jason feels that the keys to success with instrumental studies are: a good ear, an open mind, solid technique and probably most of all, a passion for the instrument. Kai Esty- GuitarBorn to traveling folk musicians, Kai has spent the majority of his life studying the diversity of music and culture. While also proficient on piano and bass, the guitar is his first love and he has performed with a number of bands in the U.S. and Europe. His influences include folk, classical, jazz, country, blues and all genres of rock. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Kai also holds an A.S. in psychology and is currently working towards the goal of doctorate. He has taught guitar for over a decade and has developed a teaching method that focuses on the students individual interests and goals to make learning more interesting and fun. Brian Hoeche- GuitarBrian began playing guitar at age 11 and in 30 plus years of experience, has performed in a variety of bands and musical ensembles. In high school, he discoverd Al DiMeola, Paco Delucia and John McLaughlin, who would become major influeces and ultimatly contribute to his own unique style of playing. After high school, Brian formed the band Intense Confession. gigging all around the tri-state they devoped a huge following in the good ol' days of big hair and lightning fast arpeggios. Brian released his first solo album "Lydian Dreams" which received a great response and is currently putting the finishing touches on his 2nd solo effort titled "In Forever" As a teacher Brian's focus lies with inspiring the next generation of guitarists to find the direction and love for music that he experiences and enjoys each and every day. John Hussmann- Guitar Playing guitar since 1990, in his 18 year career he has played in many different bands covering all genres of music with an emphasis in his first musical love.."Rock and Roll" Over the years john has played in the EVSC Honors Jazz Program, was the first electric guitar player in the Evansville North High School's Green Brigade Marching Band, also participating in honors choir and all city honors choir. After high school he started playing in popular local groups such as Button up Jones and McWiesenhiemer. John still performs an average of 5 nights a week with his group The John Hussmann Trio and Anywhere But Here. As a teacher he wants to give back to the local music community of teachers, friends and parents that have helped him so much in following his musical journey. He hopes to inspire a younger generation of performers or campfire strummers to follow their own path. Dave Newton-GuitarDave began playing guitar at the age of 12 years old and quickly became obsessed with the instrument. After studying for several years under a group of various instructors, he began teaching himself and playing in local bands. While teaching and playing is a big part of his life Dave also devotes a lot of time to his songwriting. he has a broad range of influences including Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn and VanHalen.
